Perhaps this is an example of never being too specific.
A former councilman was cited in September for a minor misdemeanor of having a dilapidated structure on property he owns and entered a not guilty plea to the charge. In question are curling tiles on the west side of a garage roof.
Following a bench trial, the judge stated he is waiting to announce his verdict until counsel can provide him with a definition of nuisance, which was not defined in the village ordinance being cited in the case.
